I spent my career asking questions on Seattle public radio, on stage at Town Hall and in university classrooms.

I am still asking.

I write children's books and poetry. I have my hands in the dirt, building soil and gardens that sustain native plants and wildlife.

“The Moon Bear,” illustrated by Sarah Waller, is my first children’s book.

On my podcasts I hold in-depth conversations with activists, artists, scholars and writers.
